"Transformation II", Bringing contemporary Khmer Art/ American Art to Long Beach, California




Saturday April 11, 2009: the opening reception in Long Beach of “Transformation II”, an exhibition of Khmer/American art in the 2nd City Council Art Gallery + Performance Space. Show was organized and curated by Long Beach based artist Denise Scott and Phnom Penh based Lydia Parusol from Meta House. 22 artists: 11 US based (Phally Chroy, Gina Han, Aragna Ker, Prumsodun Ok, Yoshie Sakai, Amy L. Sandford, Linda Saphan, Denise A Scott, Sayon Syprasoeuth, Tom Tor and Chie Yamayoshie) and 11 Cambodia based (Srey Bandol, Nawath Chhan, Sopheak Chuop, Touch Khchao, Vollak Kong, Lorn Loeum, Virginie Noel, Sokuntevy Oeur, Chath Pier Sath, Leang Seckon and Rattana Vandy).
